Andrew Thomas is a film editor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn with 15 years of experience in editing documentaries. His background and passion for portrait style documentaries is also reflected in his branded content work. His projects have been featured at Tribeca Film Festival, DOC NYC, Rooftop Films, as well as on Netflix, and PBS.
He recently co-directed and edited The Night the Lights Went Out, a short documentary about the 1977 New York City blackout that will be premiering at the Rooftop Films Series in July of 2025.
He is part of the Alliance of Documentary Editors, and was an artist-in-residence at UnionDocs (2024) https://uniondocs.org/.
