Andrew Thomas is a film editor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn with experience in editing documentaries and branded content. His background and passion for portrait style docs is also reflected in his commercial work. His projects have been featured at Tribeca Film Festival, DOC NYC, Rooftop Films, as well as on Netflix, and PBS.

He recently co-directed and edited The Night the Lights Went Out, a short documentary about the 1977 New York City blackout that premiered at Rooftop Films Series (2025) and a film he co-edited The Trial of Alec Baldwin premiered at DocNYC (2025).

He is part of the Alliance of Documentary Editors, and was an artist-in-residence at UnionDocs (2024). A short documentary film he edited A New Day Begun: The Black National Anthem will be premiering at The Black History Film Festival in late February 2026.
